Konservatuvar Müzik Bölümü Öğrencilerinin Mesleki Kariyer Tercihlerine İlişkin Görüşleri

Abstract

Bu araştırmada konservatuvar müzik bölümü lisans öğrencilerinin mesleki kariyer tercihlerine ilişkin görüşlerinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma nitel araştırma yöntemiyle tasarlanmış bir durum çalışmasıdır. 2023-2024 eğitim-öğretim yılında Trabzon Üniversitesi Devlet Konservatuvarı müzik bölümü lisans 3. sınıfta öğrenim gören 26 öğrenci araştırmanın çalışma grubunu oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada verilerin toplanmasında konservatuvar müzik bölümü lisans öğrencilerinin mesleki kariyer tercihlerini belirlemeye yönelik yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu hazırlanmıştır. Elde edilen verilerin analizinde ise içerik analizi tekniğinden yararlanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda; konservatuvar müzik bölümü lisans öğrencilerinin daha çok müzik öğretmeni olmak istedikleri, bu durumun nedenini ise en çok ekonomik sebepler olarak belirttikleri, aldıkları mesleki eğitim çerçevesinde daha çok çalgı icrası alanında uzmanlaşmak istedikleri, mesleki eğitim sürecinde çoğunun kariyer hedeflerinde değişiklik olduğu, bu değişikliğin müzik öğretmeni olma yönünde olduğu, öğrencilerin mesleki tercihlerini seçtiği alanda çalışmayı gerçekten istediği için bu meslekleri belirledikleri, ikinci meslek tercihi olarak öğrencilerin çoğunluğunun müzik kursu açma şeklinde görüş belirttiği tespit edilmiştir.This research aims to examine the opinions of conservatory music department undergraduate students regarding their professional career preferences. The research is a case study designed with qualitative research methods. 26 undergraduate students studying in their 3rd year at the Trabzon University State Conservatory music department in the 2023-2024 academic year constitute the study group of the research. In collecting data in the study, a semi-structured interview form was prepared to determine the professional career preferences of conservatory music department undergraduate students. Content analysis technique was used to analyze the data obtained. As a result of the research; Conservatory music department undergraduate students mostly want to be music teachers, they mostly state the reason for this as economic reasons, they want to specialize in instrument performance within the framework of the vocational education they receive, most of them have a change in their career goals during the vocational education process, this change is in the direction of becoming a music teacher. It has been determined that the students choose these professions because they really want to work in the field they chose as their professional choice, and the majority of the students express the opinion of opening a music course as their second career choice.
