Abstract
Bu araştırmanın amacı; beden eğitimi öğretmeni adaylarının nomofobi, sosyal bağlılık ve yaşam doyumu algılarını bazı değişkenler açısından inceleyerek aralarındaki ilişkiyi ortaya çıkarmaktır. Tarama yönteminin kullanıldığı araştırmanın çalışma grubunu, 2021-2022 Eğitim-Öğretim yılında beş devlet üniversitesinde öğrenim gören 221'i kadın, 344'ü erkek olmak üzere toplam 565 beden eğitimi öğretmeni adayı oluşturmaktadır.
The aim of this research is; to reveal the relationship between preservice physical education teacher by examining their perceptions of nomophobia, social commitment and life satisfaction in terms of some variables. The study group of the research consisted of a total of 565 preservice physical education teacher, 221 of whom are women and 344 of whom are men, studying at five state universities in the 2021-2022 academic year. The mean age of the preservice teachers between the ages of 18 and 36 was 21.39±2.32. In the research, 'Personal Information Form', 'Nomophobia Scale-NMP-Q', 'Social Commitment Scale-SCS' and 'Life Satisfaction Scale-LSS' were used to collect data. Descriptive statistical methods, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe post-hoc test and Pearson Correlation test were used in the data analysis. The participants' NMP-Q and LLS scores were below average, while SCS scores were above average. The participants' NMP-Q scores differed significantly according to the gender variable, while scale scores did not differ significantly according to the class variable. While the NMP-Q and LSS scores of the participants differed significantly according to the variable of university and economic status, also LSS scores differed significantly according to the variable of athlete status. Significant relationships were found between age, smartphone and social media usage time variables and NMP-Q and LSS scores. The correlation coefficients between the total scores obtained from the scales also indicates the existence of significant relationships. When evaluated in general, it can be said that the participants' perceptions of social commitment are relatively high, while the nomophobia and life satisfaction levels are not high. The nomophobia levels of female participants, the life satisfaction levels of preservice teacher who stated that they are athletes, the nomophobia perceptions and life satisfaction levels of the participants with high income status were higher in the 'Waiver' dimension. While the level of nomophobia decreases with age, the level of nomophobia increases as the duration of smartphone and social media use increases. As the duration of smartphone use increases, the level of life satisfaction decreases. While positive relationship was found between social commitment and life satisfaction, there was a negative relationship between these two variables and the 'Waiver' dimension of the nomophobia scale.
