Abstract

Araştırmanın sosyal geçerliliği ölçütünde görüşülen ebeveynler ve öğretmenler AOSDEP'in öğrencilerin okuma becerisini olumlu yönde etkilediğini öğrencilerin okuma motivasyonlarında artış olduğunu ifade etmişlerdir.
The aim of this research is to examine the effectiveness of the Fluent Reading Strategies Support Training Program in developing the fluent reading skills of secondary school students with special learning disabilities. AOSDEP is an intervention program created by using modeling, repetitive reading, paired reading and echo reading strategies as a package. In the research, the correct number of words, correct reading rate and prosodic reading score of ÖÖG students were examined in one minute. The research group consists of three ÖÖG students who are attending the secondary school level in the 2023-2024 academic year. In the research, the criteria model, which varies from single-subject research models, was used. Graphical analysis was used for the data analysis of the research. In the research process, Voice Reading Ability and Reading Comprehension Test II (SOBAT II) and Multidimensional Fluency Rubric were used to collect data. According to the research findings, it is seen that AOSDEP has an effect on the correct number of words read by participants per minute, correct reading rates and prosodic reading score. According to the social validity criterion of the research, the parents and teachers interviewed stated that AOSDEP positively affected the reading skills of the students and that there was an increase in the reading motivation of the students. In the monitoring sessions conducted at the end of the application, it was found that two students maintained their performance in the last polling session, while one student failed to maintain. In addition, it was observed that all three students had an increase in their performance compared to the initiation level sessions. It is seen that AOSDEP has a positive effect on students' reading skills.
