Abstract
Bu çalışmanın amacı yabancı dil olarak Türkçe öğreticilerinin kültürlerarası duyarlılıklarında iletişim yeterliği, duygusal zekâ ve öğretmen öz yeterliğinin yordayıcı rolünü incelemektir. Çalışma, nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden ilişkisel tarama desenine göre tasarlanmıştır. Çalışma grubunu Türkiye'de bulunan üniversitelere bağlı yabancı dil olarak Türkçe öğretimi yapan kurumlarda Türkçe öğreten 150 öğretici oluşturmuştur. Çalışmanın verileri Kişisel Bilgi Formu, Kültürlerarası Duyarlılık Ölçeği, İletişim Yeterlilik Ölçeği, Rotterdam Duygusal Zekâ Ölçeği ve Öğretmen Özyeterlik Ölçeği kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde SPSS 23 paket programı kullanılmıştır. Çalışmanın sonucunda yabancı dil olarak Türkçe öğreticilerinin kültürlerarası duyarlılıklarının yüksek düzeyde olduğu ortaya çıkmıştır. Yabancı dil olarak Türkçe öğreticilerinin kültürlerarası duyarlılıklarını iletişim yeterliği, duygusal zekâ ve öğretmen öz yeterliği %39 yordamaktadır. Türkçe öğreticilerinin kültürlerarası duyarlılıkları, iletişim yeterlikleri, duygusal zekâları ve öğretmen öz yeterlikleri birbirleriyle pozitif yönlü orta düzeyde anlamlı ilişkilidir. Türkçe öğreticilerinin kültürlerarası duyarlılıklarının cinsiyet, yaş, Türkçe öğretmek amacıyla yurt dışında bulunma durumu değişkenlerine göre anlamlı farklılaşmadığı görülürken Türkçe öğretme yılı değişkenine göre anlamlı derecede farklılaştığı görülmüştür. Çalışmanın sonuçlarından hareketle, öğreticilerin kültürlerarası duyarlılıklarının geliştirilmesinde, iletişim yeterliği, duygusal zekâ ve öğretmen öz yeterliğinden yararlanılabileceği ve bu faktörleri geliştirmeye yönelik çalışmalar yapılabileceği önerilmiştir.
The aim of this study is to examine the predictive role of communication competence, emotional intelligence and teacher self-efficacy in the intercultural sensitivity of Turkish as a foreign language teachers. The study was designed according to the relational screening design, one of the quantitative research methods. The study group consisted of 150 teachers who teach Turkish in institutions that teach Turkish as a foreign language affiliated to universities in Turkey. The data of the study were collected using the Personal Information Form, Intercultural Sensitivity Scale, Communication Competence Scale, Rotterdam Emotional Intelligence Scale and Teacher Self-efficacy Scale. SPSS 23 package program was used in the analysis of the data. As a result of the study, it was revealed that the intercultural sensitivity of Turkish as a foreign language teachers is at a high level. The intercultural sensitivity of Turkish as a foreign language teachers is predicted by communication competence, emotional intelligence and teacher self-efficacy by 39%. The intercultural sensitivity, communication competence, emotional intelligence and teacher self-efficacy of Turkish teachers are positively and moderately significant with each other. While it was observed that the intercultural sensitivity of Turkish language teachers did not differ significantly according to the variables of gender, age, and being abroad for the purpose of teaching Turkish, it was observed that it differed significantly according to the variable of the year of teaching Turkish. Based on the results of the study, it was suggested that communication competence, emotional intelligence and teacher self-efficacy could be used in the development of the intercultural sensitivity of teachers and that studies could be conducted to develop these factors.
