Abstract
Çalışmada ilkokulda ebeveynler ve çocuklarıyla gerçekleştirilen zeka oyunları etkinliğinin ebeveynlerin okul algılarına ve katılımlarına etkisini ve ebeveynlerin okul algısı, katılımı ve zeka oyunları hakkındaki görüşlerini incelemek amaçlanmaktadır. Karma yöntemin açıklayıcı deseninden faydalanılan çalışmanın nicel kısmında ön-son test kontrol grupsuz desenden, nitel kısmında fenomenoloji deseninden faydalanılmıştır. Uygun durum örneklemesi yolu ile seçilen 15 ebeveyne çalışma öncesinde ve sonrasında Akyıldız ve Yurtbakan, (2020) tarafından geliştirilen “Ebeveyn okul algısı ve katılımı ölçeği” uygulanmış ve analizinde Wilcoxon işaretli sıralar testine başvurulmuştur. Ayrıca ebeveynlerin okul algısı, katılımı ve zeka oyunları etkinliği hakkındaki düşüncelerini belirlemek için görüşme formu kullanılmış, analizinde betimsel analizden yararlanılmıştır. Analizler sonucunda, zeka oyunları etkinliğinin ölçeğin ebeveyn gelişimi ve aile katılımı boyutunda son test lehine anlamlı farklılık yarattığı tespit edilmiştir. Ebeveynlerle yapılan görüşmeler sonucunda ise ebeveynlerin; okulu çocuklarını eğiten bir yer olarak gördüklerini, okullardan çocuklarının bilişsel gelişimlerini destekleme beklentisi içinde olduklarını ifade ettikleri görülmüştür. Genelde çocuğunun durumunu öğrenmek için okula gelen ebeveynlerin, okul ziyaretine engel bir durumun olmadığı, zeka oyunları etkinliğinin okul ziyaret sıklıklarını artırdığı sonuçlarının yanında ebeveynler, zeka oyunlarının çocuklarının zihinsel gelişimlerine katkı sağladığını belirtmişlerdir.
In the study, it is aimed to examine the effect of the intelligence games activity carried out with parents and their children in primary school on parents' perceptions and involvement in school, and parents' views on school perception, involvement and intelligence games. The explanatory design of the mixed method was used in the quantitative part of the study, and the phenomenology design was used in the qualitative part. Before and after the study, "Parental school perception and involvement scale" developed by Yurtbakan and Akyıldız (2020) was applied to 15 parents who were selected through appropriate case sampling, and Wilcoxon signed-rank test was used in its analysis. In addition, an interview form was used to determine parents' thoughts about school perception, involvement and activity of intelligence games, and descriptive analysis was used in the analysis. As a result of the analyzes, it was determined that the activity of intelligence games created a significant difference in favor of the post-test in the dimensions of parental development and family involvement of the scale. As a result of the interviews with the parents; It has been observed that they see the school as a place that educates their children, and that they expect schools to support their children's cognitive development. In addition to the results of parents who come to school to learn about their child's condition, there is no obstacle to school visits, and that intelligence games increase the frequency of school visits, parents stated that intelligence games contribute to their children's mental development.
