Abstract
Okul yöneticilerinin kariyerleri açısından önem taşıyan yönetici atama sistemine ilişkin sahip oldukları algılar, onların mesleklerine bakış açılarını, kişisel tutumlarını değiştirebileceğinden ve yaptıkları işe, işlerindeki motivasyona, uygulamalara yansıyabileceğinden büyük önem taşımaktadır. Bu nedenle araştırmada, okul yöneticilerinin kariyerleri açısından önemli bir role sahip olan yönetici atama sistemine ilişkin algılarını, kişisel algıları ortaya çıkartmada, anlamada ve açıklamada güçlü bir araştırma aracı olarak kullanılan metaforlar aracılığı ile ortaya çıkarmak amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu, Trabzon ilinde görev yapmakta olan 196 okul yöneticisi oluşturmaktadır. Yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu ile yöneticilerin demografik özelliklerine ulaşılmış ayrıca her okul yöneticisinin “Yönetici atama sistemi ... gibidir; çünkü ...” cümlesini düşünceleri doğrultusunda tamamlamaları istenmiştir. Elde edilen veriler doğrultusunda, okul yöneticilerinin “Yönetici atama sistemi” kavramına yönelik algılarını ortaya koydukları metaforlara ve bu metaforların yer aldığı kavramsal kategorilere ulaşılmıştır. Nitel analiz tekniklerinin kullanıldığı araştırmada okul yöneticilerinin 150 metafor ürettikleri ve bu metaforların sürekli değişen, gücün etkisinde, amacı belirsiz, liyakatten/hakkaniyetten uzak, olması gereken, yöneticiler için enerji kaybı, zamanla gelişen başlığında 7 kategori altında toplandığı görülmüştür.
School managers' perceptions of the manager assignment system, which is important for their careers, are of great importance as it can change their perspective on their profession, their personal attitudes, and reflect on their work, motivation, and practices. For this reason, in the study, it was aimed to reveal the perceptions of school managers to the manager assignment system, which has an important role in their careers, through metaphors used as a powerful research tool in revealing, understanding, and explaining personal perceptions. The working group of the research consists of 196 school managers working in Trabzon. With the semi-structured interview form, the demographic characteristics of the managers were reached, and each school principals were asked to complete the sentence "The manager assignment system is like ... because ...” according to their thoughts. In the light of the obtained data, the metaphors in which the school administrators put forward their perceptions of the concept of "manager appointment system" and the conceptual categories in which these metaphors take place were reached. In the study, in which qualitative analysis techniques were used, it was seen that school managers produced 150 metaphors and these metaphors were gathered as the 7 categories below the headings of constantly changing, in the influence of power, uncertain purpose, far from merit / equity, must be, loss of energy for managers, and evolving over time.
