Abstract
The aim of this study is to examine the cognitive structures and views of classroom teachers working in the 3rd and 4th grades of primary schools regarding entrepreneurship skills. In this study, the case study method, one of the qualitative research methods, was employed. The study was conducted with a total of 110 classroom teachers who participated in the word association test (WAT) and the drawing test, and 15 volunteer classroom teachers who were identified as a result of these applications and agreed to participate in the interviews. The drawing test and a semi-structured interview form were used as data collection tools. Through these tools, teachers' cognitive structures related to entrepreneurship skills and their views on the implementation process were determined. The data obtained were analyzed using content analysis and descriptive analysis techniques. The findings revealed that teachers consider entrepreneurship skills important; however, they encounter various limitations in the implementation process such as the curriculum, teacher competencies, student characteristics, and physical conditions. As a result, it was concluded that in order to enable entrepreneurship skills to be acquired more effectively at the primary school level, curricula should be improved, teachers' competencies in this field should be enhanced, and physical conditions should be improved. In this direction, it is recommended that learning outcomes including practical activities aimed at developing entrepreneurship skills be added to the curricula.
