Abstract
Performing measurement and evaluation activities in education during the pandemic process has gained importance in terms of the effectiveness of the process. For this reason, in this research, it is aimed to design and implement the Interactive Assessment Area (EDA), a Web 2.0 tool where classroom teachers can design assessment and evaluation tools, share them with their students, and instantly report the assessment results to parents and students, and evaluate the dimensions of teachers, students and parents. The study was carried out in three main dimensions. In the first stage, a needs analysis was carried out with 20 field experts working on Web 2.0 tools and 245 classroom teachers working in different provinces of Turkey. In this dimension, the level of classroom teachers' use of online assessment tools, their expectations and needs from online assessment tools in this process were tried to be determined. The second dimension is the step of designing the EDA. While EDA was designed, open source, free 'Laravel' web application framework, which uses PHP as the software language, was used. It was created using Adobe Illustrator in line with the data obtained from the needs analysis in the interface and content design. The first prototype of the developed EDA was used by field experts before the final stage, and its deficiencies were identified and corrected. In the third and final dimension of the study, EDA was introduced to 36 classroom teachers working in 18 different districts of Trabzon and they were asked to use EDA in their education processes. At the end of this process, usability test was applied to determine the usability of EDA. Finally, interviews were conducted with 36 classroom teachers, 8 primary school students and their parents who participated in the research and their thoughts and suggestions about EDA were tried to be determined. EDA, which was finalized after the analysis of the data, was evaluated as an effective assessment and evaluation environment both in the immediate distance education process we are in and as a support for formal education, and it was found to be usable by teachers, students and parents.
