Abstract
Ülkemizde piyano, okulların yanı sıra ve amatör müzik kurslarında oldukça yaygın bir şekilde öğretilen ve oldukça talep edilen bir enstrümandır. Piyano derslerini veren öğretmenler, eğitim fakülteleri, konservatuvarlar, güzel sanatlar fakülteleri müzik bölümleri bünyelerinden mezun olmaktadır. Araştırmada piyano dersi veren öğretmenlerin lisans eğitimleri sırasında görmüş oldukları piyano derslerinin onların mesleki yaşantılarına katkılarını belirlemek hedeflenmiştir. Bu doğrultuda piyano dersi veren 18 öğretmenle yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme yapılmış ortaya çıkan görüşme sonuçları yorumlanmıştır. Okul öncesi, okul çağında okuyan çocuklar ile yetişkinlere yönelik piyano eğitimi ile ilgili soruları içeren 18 soru piyano öğretmenlerine yöneltilmiştir. Araştırmada son yirmi yılda farklı yıllarda eğitim fakültesi müzik öğretmenliği bölümlerinden mezun olan piyano öğretmenleri ile sınırlanmıştır. Sonuç olarak piyano dersi veren öğretmenlerin çoğunluğu şu anda piyano öğretimi ile ilgili olarak kendilerini yeterli görmekte fakat lisans döneminde gördükleri piyano derslerinden sonra mesleğe başladıklarında piyano öğretimi açısından kendilerini yeterli görmediklerini ifade etmişlerdir. Ayrıca piyano dersi veren öğretmenlerin çoğunluğu piyano öğretiminde kullanılan metotlar ile ilgili bilgileri mezuniyetlerinden sonra kendi çabalarıyla öğrendiklerini ifade etmişlerdir. Öğretmenler ağırlıklı olarak çalışma hayatında edindikleri tecrübelerle geliştiklerini lisans eğitiminde piyano öğretimine yönelik yeterli derecede bilgi edinmediklerini ifade etmişlerdir. Çıkan sonuçlar doğrultusunda piyano derslerine yönelik çeşitli önerilerde bulunulmuştur.
In Turkey, the piano is a demanded instrument, widely taught in schools as well as in amateur music courses. Teachers giving piano lessons graduate from education faculties, conservatories, and music departments of fine arts faculties. In the research, it was aimed to determine the contribution of the piano lessons that teachers who teach piano lessons during their undergraduate education to their professional lives. In this direction, semi-structured interviews were conducted with 18 teachers giving piano lessons and the results of the interviews were interpreted. Eighteen questions including questions about piano education for pre-school, school-age children and adults were asked to piano teachers. The study was limited to piano teachers who graduated from music teaching departments of the faculty of education in different years in the last twenty years. As a result, among the teachers who teach piano lessons, they see themselves as sufficient in piano teaching at the moment, but they stated that they did not consider themselves sufficient in terms of piano teaching when they started their profession after the piano lessons they took in the undergraduate period. In addition, most of the teachers who teach piano lessons stated that they learned the information about the methods used in piano teaching with their own efforts after their graduation. Teachers stated that they developed mainly with the experiences they gained in working life and that they did not acquire sufficient knowledge about piano teaching in undergraduate education. According to the results, various suggestions were made for piano lessons.
