Ders Dışı Egzersizler' Kapsamında Uygulanan Müzik Etkinliklerine İlişkin Öğrenci Görüşleri

Abstract

Bu araştırma; örgün genel müzik eğitiminin çok önemli bir aşamasını oluşturan liselerde, 'ders dışı egzersizler' kapsamındaki müzik etkinliklerine katılan öğrencilerin burada verilen müzik eğitimi uygulamalarına ilişkin görüşlerini ve bu alanda yaşadıkları sorunları tespit etmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Tarama (Survey) modeli ile yürütülen bu araştırmanın çalışma grubunu; Siirt il ve ilçelerindeki liselerde ders dışı müzik etkinliklerine katılan 81 lise öğrencisi oluşturmuştur. Araştırmanın verileri; yapılandırılmış ve yarı yapılandırılmış 10 adet görüş maddesinden oluşan öğrenci görüş alma formu ile elde edilmiştir. Araştırmadan başlıca şu sonuçlar elde edilmiştir. 'Ders Dışı Egzersizler' kapsamında müzik etkinliklerine katılan öğrencilerin büyük çoğunluğu kız öğrencilerden oluşmaktadır. Öğrencilerin hemen hemen yarısının; bu tercihlerinin temellerinin ortaokula ve ilkokula dayandığı tespit edilmiştir. Öğrenciler öncelikle müziği çok sevdikleri için, sosyal ilişkilerinde fark yaratacağını düşündükleri için, bir enstrüman çalmayı öğrenmek için, seslerinin güzel olduğunu düşündükleri ve onu değerlendirmek istedikleri için, arkadaş çevrelerinde kendilerine prestij katacağını düşündükleri için ve müziği gelecekte bir meslek olarak tercih etmeyi düşündükleri için tercih ettiklerini belirtmişlerdir. Ders dışı egzersizler kapsamında müzik dersleri alan öğrencilerin bu etkinlik süreleri, ağırlıklı olarak 1 ile 3 saat arasında değişmekte, bu etkinlikler ağırlıklı olarak 'Okul Korosu' çalışmaları şeklinde olmakta, etkinlikler büyük oranda 'Kulaktan Şarkı Öğretimi' yoluyla gerçekleştirilmekte, öğrenciler bu etkinliklere düzenli katılım sağlamakta, bu etkinlikler öğrenci beklentilerini büyük ölçüde karşılamakta, etkinliklere çoğunlukla öğretmenin enstrümanı eşlik etmektedir. Öğrencilerin ders dışı müzik etkinliklerinde yaşadıkları temel sorunlar; 'Okul dersleri ve sınavlar nedeni ile müzik çalışmalarına yeterince zaman ayıramama', 'Müzikal etkinlikler için okullarında yeterli araç-gerecin olmaması', 'Müzik eğitimi için gerekli malzemelerin pahalı olması', 'Nota, solfej bilmeme, deşifre yapamama' şeklindedir. Bazı öğrenciler; müzik derslerine gereken önemin verilmediğini, bu alanda istedikleri verimi ve gelişimi sağlayamadıklarını, diğer derslerin yoğunluğunun bu etkinliklere katılımı olumsuz etkilediğini, bu etkinliklere ayrılan zamanın yetersiz olduğunu ifade ederek bu sorunların giderilmesi gerektiğini ifade etmişlerdir.This research aims to determine the opinions of students who participate in music activities within the scope of 'Extracurricular Exercises' in high schools, which constitute a very important stage of formal general music education, regarding the music education practices given here and the problems they experience in this field. The study group of this research, which was carried out with the 'Survey'' model, are of 81 high school students who participates in extracurricular music activities in high schools in Siirt province and districts. Data of the research obtained through a student opinion form consisting of 10 structured and semi-structured opinion items. The following main results are obtained from the research. The majority of students participating in music activities within the scope of 'Extracurricular Exercises' are female students. Almost half of the students has been determined that the basis of these preferences is based on secondary school and primary school. Students states that they choose music primarily because they love it very much, because they think it can make a difference in their social relationships, to learn to play an instrument, because they think their voices are beautiful and want to evaluate it, because they think it may add prestige to them in their circle of friends, furthermore they think to choose music as a profession in the future. The duration of these activities for students who takes music lessons within the scope of extracurricular exercises varies mainly between 1 and 3 hours. These activities are mainly in the form of 'School Choir' activities and they are largely carried out through 'Teaching Songs by Ear'. The students regularly participate in these activities, these activities largely meet the expectations of the students, and the activities are often accompanied by the teacher's instrument. The main problems experienced by students in extracurricular musical activities are 'Not being able to spare enough time for music studies due to school lessons and exams', 'Not having enough equipment for musical activities in their school', 'The materials required for music education are expensive', 'Not knowing notes, solfeggio, and not being able to sight-read'. Some students states that the necessary importance is not given to music lessons, that the intensity of other courses negatively affected participation in these activities so the time allocated to these activities was insufficient. For these reasons they cannot achieve the efficiency and development they wanted in this field, and they states that these problems should be resolved.
