Seçim İletişiminde Siyasal Parti Liderlerinin Değer Kullanımına Yönelik 2023 Cumhurbaşkanlığı Seçim Sürecinin X Platformu Üzerinden Analizi

Abstract

Bir toplumda siyasi politikaların başarılı olabilmesi için, o toplumun, değerlerini, düşüncelerini ve kültürel yapısını göz önünde bulundurmak gerekmektedir. Özellikle de bireylerin siyasi tercihlerini etkilemede değerler büyük bir öneme sahiptir. Bu nedenle, siyasal iletişimde özellikle seçim dönemlerinde hedef kitlelerini etkileme amacı taşıyan siyasi aktörler için değerleri kullanmak bir zorunluluktur. Bu çalışmanın amacı, değerlerin bireysel ve toplumsal etki gücü doğrultusunda siyasal parti liderlerinin X paylaşımlarında daha çok hangi değerleri kullandıklarını ortaya koymaktır. Bu çalışma kapsamında, 2023 Cumhurbaşkanlığı genel seçimi; seçim öncesi (1-30 Nisan 2023), seçim dönemi (1-30 Mayıs 2023) ve seçim sonrası (1- 30 Haziran 2023) olmak üzere 3 ayrı döneme ayrılarak TBMM'de temsil edilen ve sırasıyla en fazla koltuk sayısına sahip olan 5 siyasal partinin liderlerine ait (Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, Pervin Buldan, Devlet Bahçeli ve Meral Akşener) resmi X hesaplarındaki paylaşımlar, Schwarz'ın değerler ölçeği (SDÖ) çerçevesinde analiz edilmiş ve parti liderleri tarafından yapılan paylaşımlarda daha çok hangi değerler üzerinde yoğunlaşıldığına dair bir karşılaştırma yapılmıştır. Araştırmada, nitel bir araştırma yöntemi olan içerik analizinden yararlanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda; Recep Tayyip Erdoğan ve Devlet Bahçeli'nin daha çok 'Özyönelim' ve 'Güç' değerlerine vurgu yaptığı; Pervin Buldan, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu ve Meral Akşener'in ise, daha çok 'Uyarım' değerine vurgu yaptığı görülmektedir. Literatürdeki benzer çalışmalara bakıldığında, parti liderlerinin değerler açısından analizinin yapıldığı herhangi bir çalışmanın bulunmaması bu çalışmanın özgün değerini oluşturmaktadır.In order for political policies to be successful in a society, it is necessary to take into account the values, thoughts and cultural structure of that society. Values are of great importance especially in influencing the political preferences of individuals. Based on the fact that persuasive communication is a must for political actors who aim to influence their target audiences in political communication, it is seen that it is an inevitable necessity for political actors to use values in the political communication process. The aim of this study is to reveal which values political party leaders use more in their X posts in line with the individual and social influence power of values. Within the scope of this study, 2023 Presidential general election; The posts on the official X accounts of the leaders of the 5 political parties represented in the Turkish Grand National Assembly (Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, Pervin Buldan, Devlet Bahçeli and Meral Akşener) with the highest number of seats, divided into 3 separate periods as pre-election (1-30 April 2023), election period (1-30 May 2023) and post-election (1-30 June 2023), were analyzed within the framework of Schwarz's values scale (SVS), and a comparison was made on which values were focused on more in the posts made by the party leaders. Content analysis, a qualitative research method, was used in the study and the MAXQDA program was used in the analysis of the data. As a result of the research; It is seen that Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Devlet Bahçeli emphasized the values of 'Self-direction' and 'Power' more, while Pervin Buldan, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu and Meral Akşener emphasized the value of 'Stimulation' more. When looking at similar studies in the literature, the absence of any study analyzing party leaders in terms of values constitutes the original value of this study.
