Abstract
Globalleşen dünyada çağın getirdiği yeniliklere bağlı olarak rekabet ortamında sürekli olarak farklı stratejiler uygulanmaktadır. Bu farklı stratejilerden bir tanesi de 'Debranding' uygulamalarıdır. 'Debranding' uygulamaları markaların görsel kimliklerinden ya da görsel kimliğini kullandığı alanlardan, belli bir süreliğine veya kalıcı olarak marka ismini çıkarması bunun yerine markayı hatırlatan unsurları kullanmasıdır. Markaların 'Debranding' uygulayabilmesi için öncelikli olarak güçlü bir kurumsal kimlik oluşturması gereklidir. Çünkü güçlü bir kurumsal kimlik hedef kitlede istenilen algıyı oluşturabilir. Bu aşamalar başarı ile tamamlanırsa güçlü bir marka farkındalığı kaçınılmaz olur. Marka farkındalığı yüksek markalar güçlü bir 'Debranding' zeminine sahiptir. Özetle 'Debranding' stratejisi aslında uzun ve zahmetli bir süreçten sonra kendine uygun yer bulmaktadır. 'Debranding' kavramı ilgili literatür incelendiğinde yeteri kadar çalışma bulunmadığı görülmüştür. 'Debranding' kavramının konu olduğu bir akademik çalışma dışında Türkiye'de yürütülen herhangi bir akademik çalışmaya rastlanmamıştır. Umut (2019)'un Türk Markalarının 'Debranding Stratejisine Uyumu adlı makale çalışması da konu üzerine yazılmış nadir rastlanan ve Türkiye'de yürütülen akademik bir çalışmadır. Bütün bunlar konu ile ilgili ciddi bir Türkçe literatür eksikliğinin olduğunu göstermektedir. Bu durum çalışmanın özgün değerini oluşturmaktadır. Tüm bu bulgulardan hareketle bu çalışmanın amaçları; İlk olarak 'Debranding' kavramı ve kurumsal kimlik arasındaki bağlantıyı literatür üzerinden incelemektir. İkinci olarak farkındalık oluşturma ve 'Debranding' kavramı arasında bir bağlantı olup olmadığını literatür üzerinden incelemektir. Üçüncü olarak; Türk Tuborg ve Efes Pilsen markalarının 'Debranding' uyumunun belirlenmesidir. Dördüncü ve son olarak amaçlanan ise; renklerin ve sembollerin farkındalık oluşturma üzerinde bir rolü olup olmadığını ortaya koymaktır. Deneysel araştırma yönteminin kullanıldığı bu çalışmada veri toplama aracı olarak anket yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Söz konusu bu çalışma 100 katılımcı üzerinden yürütülmüştür. Araştırma sonucuna göre Efes Pilsen ve Türk Tuborg markalarının marka farkındalıklarının ve 'Debranding' uyumunun yüksek olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bu bulguların yanı sıra renklerin ve sembollerin markayı tanıma ve bilme konusunda etkin olduğu saptanmıştır. Anahtar Kelimeler: Debranding, Kurumsal Kimlik, Sembol, Renk, Marka Farkındalığı
In the globalizing world, different strategies are constantly applied in the competitive environment, depending on the innovations brought One of these different strategies is 'Debranding' applications the period we are in. 'Debranding' applications are the removal of the brand name from the visual identities of the brands or the area where they use their visual identity, for a certain period of time or permanently, instead using elements that remind the brand. Brands must first have a strong corporate identity in order to apply '' Debranding ''. Because a strong corporate identity can create the desired perception in the target audience. If these stages are completed successfully, a strong brand awareness is inevitable. Brands with high brand awareness have a strong 'Debranding' ground. In short , the 'Debranding' strategy actually finds a suitable place for itself after a long and laborious process. When literature was examined about 'Debranding' term, it was found out that there is no enough research about it. Except for an academic study on the concept of 'debranding', no academic study has been found in Turkey. (Umut 2019)'s article titled 'Adaptation of Turkish Brands to the Debranding Strategy' is rare academic study conducted in Turkey on the subject. All these are due to a serious lack of Turkish literature on the subject. This situation prove that the research has unique value. Based on all these findings, the aims of this study are; First, it examines the connection between the concept of 'Debranding' and corporate identity through the literature. Secondly, it examines whether there is a connection between awareness raising and the concept of 'Debranding'. Third, in the context of ''Debranding'', the ''Debranding'' compatibility of Türk Tuborg and Efes Pilsen brands is determined. The fourth and final aim is; The aim is to reveal whether colors and symbols have a role in raising awareness. In this study, in which the experimental research method was used, the questionnaire method was used as the data collection tool. This study was conducted on 100 participants. According to the results of the research, it has been determined that Efes Pilsen and Türk Tuborg brands have high brand awareness and 'Debranding' compliance. In addition to these findings, it has been determined that colors and symbols are effective in recognizing and knowing the brand.
