Abstract
Bu çalışmanın amacı, öğretmenlere yönelik gerçekleştirilen “Disiplinlerarası Afet Eğitimi (DAFET)-II” isimli projenin, proje hedefleri çerçevesinde genel etkisini değerlendirmektir. Bu amaç kapsamında; 1. Öğretmenlerin afet eğitiminde disiplinlerarası öğretime yönelik gerçekleştirilen projeden beklentilerinin karşılanma durumu, 2. Projede yer alan disiplinlerarası afet eğitimi etkinliklerinin öğretmenlerin genel afete hazırlık inançlarına etkisi araştırılmıştır. Çalışmanın katılımcılarını; 11 sosyal bilgiler, 13 fen bilimleri ve 12 sınıf öğretmeni (toplam 36 öğretmen) oluşturmaktadır. 7 gün süren proje döneminde öğretmenler; deprem, heyelan, sel, taşkın, su baskını, erozyon, orman yangını gibi doğal afetlere yönelik disiplinlerarası afet eğitimi etkinliklerini deneyimlemişlerdir. Özel durum yöntemiyle yürütülen araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak “Proje Katılımcı Beklenti Formu” ve “Proje Beklenti Karşılama Formu” ve “Genel Afete Hazırlık İnanç Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Çalışmadan elde edilen nitel veriler içerik analizi, nicel veriler ise bağımlı t- testi ile analiz edilmiştir. Çalışma sonunda projenin öğretmenlerin beklentilerini karşıladığı, dahası afet eğitiminde disiplinler arası öğrenme ortamlarına yönelik farklı bilgi ve beceriler (afet okuryazarlığı, disiplinlerarası öğretim, harita okuma becerisi vb) kazanmalarını sağladığı ortaya çıkarılmıştır. Proje etkinliklerinin öğretmenlerin genel afete hazırlıklı olma inanç düzeylerine etkisine bakıldığında; öğretmenlerin bir afet ve acil durumla başa çıkma becerilerine olan inançları ile afete hazırlıklı olma davranışını etkileyebilecek faktörlere yönelik inançlarını anlamlı şekilde arttırdığı belirlenmiştir. Çalışma kapsamında elde edilen sonuçlar ışığında bazı öneriler sunulmuştur.
The aim of this study is to evaluate the overall impact of the project named "Interdisciplinary Disaster Education (DAFET)-II" for teachers within the framework of the project objectives. Within the scope of this purpose; 1. Meeting the expectations of teachers from the project carried out for interdisciplinary teaching in disaster education, 2. The qualitative data obtained from the study were analyzed by content analysis and the quantitative data were analyzed by dependent t-test. At the end of the study, it was revealed that the project met the expectations of the teachers, moreover, it enabled them to gain different knowledge and skills (disaster literacy, interdisciplinary teaching, map reading skills, etc.) for interdisciplinary learning environments in disaster education. Considering the effect of project activities on teachers' general disaster preparedness belief levels; It was determined that teachers' beliefs in their ability to cope with a disaster and emergency and their beliefs about the factors that may affect disaster preparedness behavior significantly increased. In the light of the results obtained within the scope of the study, some suggestions are presented.
