Abstract
Bu çalışmada, Trabzon İl Milli Eğitim Müdürlüğüne bağlı okulların ortaokul ve lise dengi kademelerinde görev alan beden eğitimi öğretmenlerinin pedagojik bilgi ve beceri düzeyleri ile öğretmenlik mesleğine ilişkin inançlarının iş performanslarına etkisinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Nicel araştırma yaklaşımlarından ilişkisel tarama deseni ile kurgulanan araştırma, 2020-2021 Eğitim-Öğretim 2. Yarıyılında, Trabzon İlindeki farklı ortaokul ve lise kademelerinde görev yapan 56'sı kadın, 176'sı erkek toplam 232 beden eğitimi ve spor öğretmeni üzerinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırma verileri, araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanan 'Kişisel Bilgi Formu', Uğraş ve Dindar (2019) tarafından geçerlik ve güvenirlik çalışması yapılan 'Beden Eğitimi Öğretmenliği Mesleki İnanç Ölçeği', Gökçek ve Yılmaz (2019) tarafından Türkçe'ye uyarlanan 'Pedagojik Bilgi ve Beceri Ölçeği' ve Çöl (2008) tarafında geçerlik ve güvenirlik çalışması yapaılan 'İş Performansı Ölçeği ' vasıtaları aracılığıyla toplanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde SPSS 21.0 paket programı kullanılmış olup çözümlenmesinde ise, istatistiksel yöntem olarak betimsel istatistikler, t-testi, çoklu regresyon analizi, pearson korelasyonu, Doğrulayıcı Faktör Analizinden (DFA) faydalanılmıştır. Araştırma bulgularına göre, katılımcıların pedagojik bilgi ve beceri düzeylerinin, beden eğitimi öğretmenliği mesleğine ilişkin inanç durumlarının ve iş performansı düzeylerinin yüksek seviyede olduğu saptanmıştır. Katılımcıların pedagojik bilgi ve beceri düzeyleri cinsiyet, medeni durum ve kademe düzeyi değişkenlerine göre farklılık göstermezken; yönetici destek durumuna göre anlamlı farklılık göstermektedir. Diğer yandan katılımcıların beden eğitimi öğretmenliği mesleğine ilişkin inanç durumları ve iş performaslarının cinsiyet, medeni durum, görev yaptığı kademe düzeyi ve yönetici desteği durumu değişkenlerine göre anlamlı bir şekilde farklılaşmadığı tespit edilmiştir. Katılımcıların pedagojik bilgi ve beceri düzeyleri ile beden eğitimi mesleğine ilişkin inanç durumları arasında pozitif yönlü zayıf düzeyde, iş performansı düzeyleri ile arasında pozitif yönlü ve yüksek düzeyde anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu saptanmış olup, öğretmenlerin iş performansı düzeyleri ile beden eğitimi mesleğine ilişkin inanç durumları arasında pozitif yönlü ve zayıf düzeyde anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu saptanmıştır. Ayrıca pedagojik bilgi ve beceri ile mesleki inanç değişkenlerinin öğretmenlerin iş performansını pozitif yönlü olarak etkilediği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Çalışmanın sonunda, elde edilen bulgular benzer çalışma sonuçları ile birlikte tartışılmakta ve gelecekte konu ile ilgili yapılacak çalışmalar için öneriler sunulmaktadır.
In this study, it is aimed to examine the effects of pedagogical knowledge and skill levels of physical education teachers working at secondary and high school equivalent levels of schools affiliated to Trabzon Provincial Directorate of National Education, and the effects of their beliefs about the teaching profession on their job performance. The research, which was constructed with the relational scanning design, one of the quantitative research approaches, was carried out on a total of 232 physical education and sports teachers, 56 women and 176 men, working in different secondary and high school levels in Trabzon in the 2020-2021 Education-Teaching Second Semester. The research data were collected from the 'Personal Information Form' prepared by the researcher, the 'Physical Education Teaching Professional Belief Scale', the validity and reliability of which was studied by Uğraş and Dindar (2019), and the 'Pedagogical Knowledge and Skills Scale' adapted into Turkish by Gökçek and Yılmaz (2019). ' and 'Job Performance Scale' tools whose validity and reliability studies were conducted by Çöl (2008). The SPSS 21.0 package program was used in the analysis of the data, and descriptive statistics, t-test, multiple regression analysis, Pearson correlation, and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (DFA) were used as statistical methods in the analysis. According to the research findings, it was determined that the pedagogical knowledge and skill levels of the participants, their beliefs about the physical education teaching profession and their job performance levels were high. While the pedagogical knowledge and skill levels of the participants did not differ according to the variables of gender, marital status and level; differs significantly according to manager support status. On the other hand, it was determined that the belief status and job performance of the participants regarding the physical education teaching profession did not differ significantly according to the variables of gender, marital status, level of work and managerial support. It has been determined that there is a positive and highly significant relationship between the pedagogical knowledge and skill levels of the participants and their beliefs about the physical education profession, and a positive and highly significant relationship between the levels of job performance and the positive relationship between the teachers' job performance levels and their beliefs about the physical education profession. and a weakly significant relationship was found. In addition, it was concluded that the variables of pedagogical knowledge and skills and professional belief positively affect teachers' job performance. At the end of the study, the findings are discussed together with the results of similar studies and suggestions for future studies on the subject are presented.
