TÜBİTAK 4006 Bilim Fuarları Süreçlerinin Yürütücü Öğretmen Görüşlerine Göre Değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explore the contributions of the TÜBİTAK 4006 Science Fairs Program to schools, students, and teachers, as well as the challenges encountered during its implementation and the expectations of project coordinators from TÜBİTAK. The study employs a case study approach, one of the qualitative research methods, and involves the participation of 48 teachers from various provinces in Turkey. Data were collected using a semi-structured interview form developed by the researchers and analyzed through content analysis. The findings indicate that science fairs strengthen the project culture in schools, enhance students' analytical thinking and collaboration skills, and contribute to teachers' professional development. However, participants highlighted several challenges, including financial constraints, time management difficulties, and deficiencies in technical infrastructure during the implementation process. Based on these findings, the study recommends increasing the fair's budget, organizing training programs to improve teachers' project management skills, and providing targeted support for schools in rural areas.Bu çalışmanın amacı, TÜBİTAK 4006 Bilim Fuarları Programı’nın okullara, öğrencilere ve öğretmenlere sağladığı katkıları, yürütme sürecinde karşılaşılan zorlukları ve proje yürütücülerinin TÜBİTAK’a yönelik beklentilerini belirlemektir. Çalışma, nitel araştırma yaklaşımlarından durum çalışması ile tasarlanmış ve Türkiye’nin farklı illerinden 48 öğretmenin katılımıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Veriler, araştırmacılar tarafından geliştirilen yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu aracılığıyla toplanmış ve içerik analizi ile değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre, bilim fuarlarının okullarda proje kültürünü güçlendirdiği, öğrencilerin analitik düşünme ve iş birliği becerilerini artırdığı ve öğretmenlerin mesleki gelişimine katkı sunduğu görülmüştür. Katılımcılar, süreçte finansal yetersizlikler, zaman yönetimi sorunları ve teknik altyapı eksiklikleri gibi zorluklarla karşılaştıklarını belirtmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlar doğrultusunda, fuar bütçesinin artırılması, öğretmenlerin proje yönetim becerilerini güçlendirecek eğitimler düzenlenmesi ve kırsal bölgelerdeki okullara özel destek verilmesi önerilmektedir.
