Abstract
Müzeler, bireylere kültürel miraslarını anlamlandırmalarına, farklı disiplinlerde elde edilen bilgileri entegre etmelerine ve geçmişte yaşanan olayları daha derinlemesine kavramalarına katkı sağlayan özel mekânlar olarak önemli bir rol oynamaktadır. Bu kurumlar, öğrenme süreçlerini destekleyerek öğrencilere somut deneyimler sunmakta ve kavramları, öğrencinin ilgisini çekebilecek etkileşimli öğrenme ortamları oluşturarak daha etkili bir şekilde iletmekte ve kavramsal gelişimi desteklemektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı; Trabzon’da bulunan Devlet Su İşleri (DSİ) Taşkın müzesine yapılan gezinin ilkokul ikinci sınıf öğrencilerinin “heyelan, sel ve taşkın” konularında kavramsal gelişimleri üzerine etkisini araştırmaktır. Çalışmada basit deneysel yöntem kullanılmıştır. Çalışmanın örneklem grubunu Trabzon iline bağlı bir okulda öğrenim gören 29 ilkokul ikinci sınıf öğrencisi oluşturmuştur. Çalışmada veri toplama aracı olarak; kavramsal anlama testi, mülakat ve anket sorularından yararlanılmıştır. Museums are environments that contribute to people's understanding of their cultural heritage, knowledge acquired in various fields, and events from the past. Museums are used as learning environments in different subjects and disciplines. Museums provide concrete experiences related to concepts and make these concepts more engaging for students. The aim of this study is to investigate the impact of a museum tour to the State Water Works Flood Museum in Trabzon on the conceptual development of second-grade elementary school students regarding landslide, flood, and torrents. Pre-experimental method was used in the study. The sample group of the study consisted of 29 second-grade elementary school students from a school in Trabzon. Data collection tools used in the study included a conceptual understanding test, interviews, and survey questions.
