Abstract
The aim of this study is to design an argumentation-driven educational digital game to teach the "matter" subject. Each game section includes science activities and argumentation questions that engage students in scientific thinking skills and conceptualizing of the `matter' subject. Through a design-based research method, the game was exposed to three successive pilot-studies with 12 grade4 students in a state primary school. Given the students' feedbacks and game errors, we solved all technical and pedagogical problems to eliminate any missing/unclear point in the game. The pilotstudies suggest that the digital game enables students to improve their argumentation skills and stimulates their interest in science.
