Abstract
In this study, it is aimed to adapt three scales developed to measure/rate the levels of School Counselors' Knowledge (SC-KGS), Perception (SC-PGS) and Involvement (SC-IGS) Concerning Gifted Students to Turkish culture. 193 school counselors who work in gifted students' school in Turkey participated in the study. As a result of the factor analysis, it was seen that there was a single factor structure which explained 59.81% of the total variance for SC-KGS. On the other hand, the three-factor structure of SC-PGS (consisting of 18 items), which explained 44.12% of the total variance, was confirmed. For SC-IGS, the two-factor structure explained 70.32% of the total variance. Goodness of fit indices obtained from confirmatory factor analysis were found to be within acceptable ranges for all three scales. As a result of the reliability analysis for the scales, the Cronbach alpha internal consistency coefficients obtained from the total scores of knowledge, perception and involvement scales were found to be .97, .84 and .96, respectively. Test-retest correlations were calculated as .79, .82 and .82 respectively. It was concluded that the three scales, whose psychometric properties were examined, could be accepted as valid and reliable measurement tools in Turkish culture
