Getting Opinions about Improving Sight-Reading Abilities on Guitar Education and an Experimental Study towards Applying of These Opinions

Abstract

Bu çalışmada; gitar eğitiminde deşifre becerisinin geliştirilmesi sürecinde etkin olabilecek çalışma prensiplerinin/önerilerinin uzman görüşleri doğrultusunda belirlenmesi ve bu önerilerden en çok benimsenen önerinin etkililik düzeyinin müzik öğretmenliği programında öğrenim görmekte olan 2. ve 3. sınıf gitar öğrencileri ile uygulanarak denenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmanın nicel verilerinin toplanmasında çalışma grubunu Trabzon Üniversitesi Fatih Eğitim Fakültesi Güzel Sanatlar Eğitimi Ana Bilim Dalı Müzik Öğretmenliği Programında 2. ve 3. sınıf düzeyinde öğrenim gören ve bireysel çalgıları gitar olan 11 öğrenci, nitel verilerin toplanmasında ise Konservatuvar ve Müzik Öğretmenliği programlarında gitar dersi veren 15 öğretim elemanı oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada nicel ve nitel olarak, deneysel desen ve betimsel tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Uzman görüşleri doğrultusunda kapsam geçerliliği sağlanmış olan 'Görüş Alma Formu' ile araştırmanın nitel verisi toplanmıştır. Çalışma grubunu oluşturan 11 öğrenciyle yapılan kontrol grupsuz ön-test ve son-test modeline yönelik deneysel uygulama ve bu uygulamanın puanlaması ile toplanan veriler ise çalışmanın nicel verisini oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmada, gitar öğretim elemanlarından alınan görüş ve öneriler doğrultusunda araştırma grubu öğrencilerinin gitar üzerinde deşifre çalma becerilerini geliştirmek için, araştırmacı tarafından 4 haftalık uygulama planı hazırlanarak uygulanmıştır. Uygulama süresince öncelikle ön-test yapılmış, ardından 4 haftalık çalışma programı uygulanmış ve son olarak son-test yapılarak uygulama sonlandırılmıştır. Uygulama sürecinde kayıt altına alınan ön test ve son test performansları 5 alan uzmanı, araştırmacı tarafından oluşturulan 'Deşifre Becerisi Puanlama Anahtarı' kullanılarak değerlendirilme yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın bulgularına göre yapılan değerlendirmeler sonucunda, uzman görüş ve önerileri doğrultusunda uygulanıp denenen yöntem ve tekniklerin, deşifre becerileri geliştirmede fayda sağladığını söylemek mümkündür. Yapılan uygulama, çalışma grubundaki öğrencilerin deşifre çalma becerileri üzerinde kayda değer anlamlı bir fark oluşturmuştur.In this study; It is aimed to determine the working principles/suggestions that can be effective in the process of deciphering skill in guitar education in line with expert opinions, and to test the effectiveness level of the most accepted suggestion by applying with the 2nd and 3rd-grade guitar students studying in the music teaching program. In the collection of the quantitative data of the research, 11 students who study at the 2nd and 3rd grade level in Trabzon University Fatih Education Faculty Fine Arts Education Department Music Teaching Program and who have a guitar for individual instruments, and guitar lessons in the Conservatory and Music Teaching programs in the collection of qualitative data. constitutes teaching staff. In the research, experimental design and descriptive survey models were used quantitatively and qualitatively. Qualitative data of the research was collected with the 'Opinion Form', which was validated in line with expert opinions. The quantitative data of the study consisted of the experimental application and the scoring of this application for the pre-test and post-test model without a control group with 11 students forming the study group. In the study, a 4-week application plan was prepared and applied by the researcher to improve the students' playing skills on the guitar in line with the opinions and suggestions received from the guitar instructors. During the application, a pretest was performed first, then a 4-week study program was applied, and finally, the application was terminated with a post-test. The pre-test and post-test performances recorded in the application process were evaluated using the 'Deciphering Skill Scoring Key' created by the 5 experts and the researcher. As a result of the evaluations made according to the findings of the research, it is possible to say that the methods and techniques applied and tried by the expert opinions and suggestions are beneficial in developing deciphering skills. The application made a significant difference in the deciphering skills of the students in the study group.
