The Relationship between Visual Arts Teachers’ and Candidates’ Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge Self-Efficacy and Technopedagogical Education Competencies

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı; Görsel Sanatlar öğretmenlerinin ve adaylarının sanat eğitimine ilişkin teknolojik ve pedagojik alan bilgileri ile teknopedagojik yeterlilikleri arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemektir. Araştırmanın evrenini Trabzon, Giresun, Rize, Erzurum illerinde görev yapmakta olan Görsel Sanatlar Öğretmenleri ve Trabzon Üniversitesi, Erzurum Atatürk Üniversitesi, Ankara Gazi Üniversitesi, Giresun Üniversitesi, Rize Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Üniversitesi Güzel Sanatlar Eğitimi Bölümü Resim-iş Eğitimi Anabilim dalında öğretim gören Görsel Sanatlar öğretmen adayları oluşturmuştur. Örneklemini ise çalışmaya dâhil olan olan katılımcılar belirlemiştir. Çalışmada veri toplama aracı olarak iki ölçek kullanılmıştır. Bunlardan ilki Teknopedagojik Eğitim Yeterlik (TPACK-deep) ölçeği, diğeri ise; GS-TPİB Öz-Yeterlik Ölçeği' dir. Verilerin analizi için Statistical Package fort he Social Sciences (SPSS) 22 paket programı kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde Mann Whitney-U Testi, Kruskal Wallis-H Testi, Spearman'ın sıralama korelasyon katsayısı tekniklerinden yararlanılmıştır. Araştırma sonunda görsel sanatlar öğretmenleri ve adaylarının sanat eğitimine teknolojik pedagojik içerik bilgisi öz-yeterlikleri ile teknopedagojik eğitim yeterlilikleri dair bilgilere ulaşılmıştır ve aralarındaki ilişki incelenmiştir. Elde edilen bulgu ve sonuçlar ile birlikte önerilerde bulunulmuştur.The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between the technological and pedagogical content knowledge and technopedagogical education competencies of visual arts teachers and candidates. The population of the study consisted of Visual Arts Teachers working in Trabzon, Giresun, Rize, Erzurum provinces and Visual Arts teacher candidates studying at Trabzon University, Erzurum Atatürk University, Ankara Gazi University, Giresun University, Rize Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University Fine Arts Education Department, Department of Art Education. The sample was determined by the participants who were included in the study. Two scales were used as data collection tools in the study. The first one is Technopedagogical Education Competence (TPACK-deep) scale and the other one is GS-TPIB Self-Efficacy Scale. Statistical Package fort he Social Sciences (SPSS) 22 package program was used for data analysis. Mann Whitney-U Test, Kruskal Wallis-H Test, Spearman's rank correlation coefficient techniques were used to analyze the data. At the end of the research, information about the technological pedagogical content knowledge self-efficacy and technopedagogical education competencies of visual arts teachers and candidates in art education was obtained and the relationship between them was examined. Suggestions were made together with the findings and results obtained.
