This study aims to evaluate the experiences of primary school teachers who are pursuing a master’s degree in their postgraduate education process. In this qualitative study, the phenomenology research design was employed. The research data were collected through semi- structured interviews, and content analysis was used for data analysis. This study uses the criterion sampling method which is one of the purposeful sampling techniques. The study group consists of eleven primary school teachers who are working in schools affiliated with the Ministry of National Education in Turkey and also pursuing a master’s degree. Seven of the participants are male, and four of the participants are female. The results of the research show that primary school teachers take part in postgraduate education in order to advance their professional development, improve their teaching and classroom management skills, take advantage of management opportunities and salary increases, and be exempt from the expert teacher exam. All participants stated that they benefited from their postgraduate studies. As a result of the research, it was concluded that school administrators, as well as provincial and district administrators, did not provide sufficient support to teachers during the postgraduate education process. Teachers also expressed dissatisfaction with the inadequacy of legal regulations relating to primary school teachers in their postgraduate education process.
