Abstract
Araştırmaya, 265'i (%66,2) kadın ve 135'i (%33,8) erkek olmak üzere 18-65 yaş aralığında bulunan toplam 400 birey katılmıştır.
In this study, it was aimed to reveal the relationship between the level of physical activity and the positive and negative emotional states of exercise motivation. In the study, it was also discussed whether the exercise motivation and positive and negative emotional states of the individuals differ according to the variables of regular exercise, age, gender, place of residence, having a child, working status, smoking and alcohol use. A total of 400 individuals between the ages of 18-65 participated in the study, of which 265 (66,2%) were female and 135 (33,8%) were male. The study was conducted in the relational screening model. In order to collect the data used in the research, firstly, the 'Personal Information Form' was used to obtain the demographic information of the participants. In addition, 'Physical Activity and Leisure Motivation Scale (PALMS)', 'International Physical Activity Scale' (IPAQ) and 'Positive and Negative Motivation Scale (PANAS)' were used. Spearman's rank correlation was performed to determine the relationships between the variables examined within the scope of the research. As a result of the analysis, it was seen that there was a statistically low significant relationship between positive mood and exercise motivation sub-dimensions of mastery, expectation of others, appearance and social relationship; and a statistically low and moderately positive relationship between physical state, phychological state and pleasure. However, it was concluded that there was no significant relationship between positive emotion and competition. Spearman's correlation analysis was applied to determine whether there was a statistically significant difference between individuals' physical activity levels, exercise motivation and subjective well-being levels. As a result of the analysis, no significant relationship was found between the exercise motivation and subjective well-being of the individuals and their physical activity levels. In order to determine whether there is a statistically significant difference in exercise motivation and subjective well-being levels of individuals in terms of whether they exercise or not, Mann Whitney U test analysis was applied for independent groups. As a result of the analysis, it was seen that the individuals did not differ in terms of whether they do regular exercise or not, in terms of the expectation of others with the exercise motivation subscales, social relations and competition. However, it was observed that individuals who exercised regularly had high mastery, physical condition, psychological status, pleasure and positive emotion scores while individuals who do not exercise regularly have higher appearance and negative emotion scores.
